WEB SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We’re looking for an experienced software developer to join our small team and help grow our products towards our long-term vision. We’re transforming the way financial analysts spend their time and are dealing with problems in areas like data tracing and statistics, multiple distributed applications and interfaces, workflow and usability tools and user experience design.

We’re using Python and JavaScript for our web-based applications. Our systems are supported by continuous integration and delivery (under 15 minutes from merge to automated production release), and we rely heavily on testing; if it’s not tested, it doesn’t work! We ship code many times every day.

You should have experience with Python and web application development. You’re encouraged by working on problems like error handling in HTTP requests and communicating securely and reliably over the Internet between client and server programs that your team builds. Experience or interest in Angular is an added bonus. You love to learn and spend some of your time doing just that, including in the fields of computing science, software development, leadership, and finance; your undergrad degree was just a starting point, and you’ve spent years refining your skills and honing your craft. Committing to a small and highly collaborative team should be an exciting prospect

We hope that you’ll have some ideas of what you’d like to work on now and in the future, and we’d love to work with you to get there. We’re motivated by mentorship on both sides of the table.

If this sounds like a team you’d like to be a part of, and you meet at least half of the requirements then please contact us – we’d love to hear from you! Send us a PDF of your resume and include your cover letter in the body of an email to careers@canalyst.com.
