In the new Canalyst portal, you will continue to have easy access to 4000+ models. It’s still incredibly simple to use, and the new design makes it even easier to find the models and tools you need.
What’s different about the new Canalyst portal?
The portal has a new design with new features, including:
- Faster type-ahead search and a download-from-search function
- Easier access to your watch list and IPO models
- Options to adjust model formatting preferences (column ordering, drivers worksheets)
- A What’s New section to highlight new product features
We will continue to add new features to the portal, so keep an eye on the What’s New section!
Can I continue to use my existing Canalyst login credentials?
You can continue to use your existing Canalyst login credentials to access the new portal. No password reset is required.
How do I download a model directly from the search bar?
The search bar on the new Canalyst portal now offers the most relevant search results for your keyword as you continue typing out your keyword. To download any of the search results directly from the search bar, simply click on the Download button next to each search result, or hover on top of the search result and press [Shift]+[Enter] to use the keyboard shortcut.
Alternatively, clicking anywhere on the search result will take you to the folder to which the search result file belongs, where there are more options for you to choose from e.g. select a different model format for download, watch list the model, request an update, etc.
Where can I find my Private Folder and Watch List?
You can access your Private Folder and Watch List from the left sidebar of the portal. This sidebar persists as you navigate to different pages on the new portal, allowing you quick and easy access. Note that your Private Folder is only visible if there’s content in the folder.
Will the files in my Private Folder and my Watch List from the previous Canalyst portal be preserved?
Yes, rest assured that your Private Folder and Watch List content from the previous portal will be kept intact and moved to the new portal.
Where can I find and download the Canalyst Toolkit on the new portal?
The Canalyst Toolkit is now located on the Tools page, which you can reach by clicking the Tools option on the left sidebar.
How do I change my default model format preferences?
On the new Canalyst portal, you can change your default model format for all future model downloads by clicking on the Settings menu in the upper right hand corner of the portal, then choose Default Model Format Settings.
Will the new Canalyst portal work on any computer and browser?
The new Canalyst portal is compatible with both Mac and PC devices, as well as most major browsers, including Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox. Internet Explorer is not supported by the new portal. For optimal performance, we recommend that you keep your browser up to date and run a minimal number of browser plug-ins.
Can I switch back to the previous Canalyst portal?
We want to ensure that you are able to find and download Canalyst models easily. If you experience any issues with the new Canalyst portal, we would be happy to address your concerns and switch you back to the previous Canalyst portal in the meantime.
